Week ending January 29, 2011

This week was planned rest week. My plan was to run easy this week and run a really hard workout on Sunday. I wanted to try something new and really rest before a workout. I usually rest before races, but I hardly ever go into a workout fully rested. Plus, I usually don’t follow common advice and take any easy weeks during my season. Again, this is something new. Sunday I ran 8 miles. On Tuesday I did a very light workout: 6 x 800m. Wednesday I ran 9. We had a gorgeous week and I felt like running for 2 hours on Saturday as it was 60 degrees, but I stuck to my plan and took it easy. 37 miles for the week
